We are looking for suitable donations to be auctioned off at our Silent Auction. Any items can be handed to one of our committee members during our next two meetings on 9th or 16th Sept. If unable to do so, then items can be brought on the evening of the auction, however to enable us to plan ahead, can you please contact Jack (details on your programme card) with a description of the item/s you intend donating. Any donation will be welcome!!! The fun evening consists of a light hearted auction, a pie & pea supper and possibly the odd quiz
For those members who have not been before – a silent auction is a type of auction where items are displayed for bidding, but unlike traditional auctions, there is no auctioneer calling out bids. Instead, members place their bids silently, on paper bid sheets. There is no starting bid or minimum bid increment, simply bid as you wish! Members write down their bids and at the end of the auction, the highest bidder wins the item. Previous auctions have been successful social evenings and we hope you will attend.
